Air Raid

  • Pierces through targets while setting them on fire.

Spiral Drive

  • High-damage attack. Recommended as her go-to attack.

Sling Whip / Tilt Whip

  • Works on mid-bosses.
  • Velvet is invulnerable while she tosses her target around.

Round Flare

  • Hits everything surrounding Velvet while setting them on fire.

Dancing Chain

  • Seeks targets, removing the need to chase them.
  • If hit during their knockback animation, targets will be pulled back to Velvet, keeping them within attack range.

Cross Bind

  • Stops targets, including bosses and mid-bosses. Note that this is literal. Targets stop animating while Cross Bind is in effect. They will resume animating afterwards.
  • Hits everything onscreen.
  • Works best when targets are piled up in front of Velvet.

Flare Shot

  • Low PP cost.
  • Deals moderate damage and has decent duration.

Vile Rush

  • Effective against any target.
  • The wide slashes and forward movement allow Oswald to hit everything in front of him.

Crazed Grip

  • Does good damage considering how fast it animates.
  • The chance to grab opponents allows for some crowd control.

Nightmare Blast

  • Can hit everything onscreen.
  • Recharges the berserk gauge quickly when it hits multiple times.

Madness

  • Allows Oswald to go berserk with a less-than-full berserk gauge.

Slip Slide & Lunarside Shot

  • Recommended only for the added mobility. Look for damage elsewhere.

Phozon Burst

  • Low PP cost.
  • Capable of knocking away all onscreen enemies, providing excellent crowd control.

Round Shot

  • Low PP cost.
  • Covers a wide area in front of Mercedes.
  • Pierces through targets.
  • Has a knockback effect.

Spread Shot

  • Low PP cost.
  • Can provide effective healing if it hits multiple targets and a Vampiric Ring is equipped.
  • Its multiple hits can knock bosses and mid-bosses off their feet, allowing for juggle combos.

Hunter Shot

  • Tracks targets and lingers around them while dealing damage, making it great for bosses and mid-bosses.

Unlimited Ammo

  • Self-explanatory. Good for extended encounters.
  • Matches perfectly with Banshee Call, Pixie Call and Spirit Call.

Banshee Call & Spirit Call

  • Both are excellent skills. The key difference is that Banshee Call’s piercing shots bounce off the ground while Spirit Call’s non-piercing shots fire forward. Choose the one that’s best suited against your targets.

Spiral Claw

  • The bread-and-butter POW skill for Cornelius.
  • Allows juggle combos.
  • The forward movement allows for target isolation. Useful when fighting bosses.

Reverse Claw

  • Useful for getting behind enemies.

Streak Slash

  • Pierces through enemies, allowing Cornelius to get behind them.
  • Can knock targets up to the air. Great for crowd control.

Whirling Blade

  • The second bread-and-butter POW skill for Cornelius.
  • Hits front and back.
  • Deals lower damage than Spiral Claw.
  • Allows passing through enemies.

Spark Bolt

  • Low PP cost.
  • Inflicts the Dizzy status.

Plasma Circle

  • Low PP cost.
  • Deals damage and can Dizzy opponents.
  • Works well with anything Cornelius does.

Needle Strike

  • Gwen’s bread-and-butter POW skill.
  • Works very well against targets in front of Gwen.
  • Allows juggle combos.
  • For an easy and effective combo extension, alternate between this and Needle Storm.

Beak Drive

  • Allows piercing through targets. Useful for getting behind enemies.

Rising Crescent

  • Knocks most targets up to the air. Great for crowd control.

Ice Shot

  • Low PP cost.
  • Projectiles home in on targets.

Icicle Wave

  • Low PP cost.
  • Hits front and back.
  • Can freeze targets.

Needle Storm

  • A powered-up version of Needle Strike.
  • The ice extensions provide greater reach.
  • Can provide effective healing if it hits multiple targets and a Vampiric Ring is equipped.
  • For an easy and effective combo extension, alternate between this and Needle Strike.
