Guild Wars 2 experienced a login issue today, resulting in players getting kicked out of the game then becoming unable to log in.
I was, perhaps foolishly, buying items from the Trading Post just as the outage was occurring. I tried to buy daggers that refused to be bought. I was getting an error that prevented me from buying the items. I tried repeatedly before I got kicked out of the game.
When the servers came back up I saw that I lost 4 gold and had multiple copies of the same item.
I went to their support page [http://en.support.guildwars2.com/] and filed the appropriate ticket. Here’s the response:

Hi support. I lost approximately 4g after the service outage today. This is after repeatedly trying to purchase an item from the in-game Trading Post.
The attached screenshot should show you the issue. I only wanted TWO of the daggers, not the multiple ones you see there. My current currency amount shows 6g. This was at 10g prior to the outage.
Please help me get the gold back. Thank you.
I now own 8 daggers, 6 of which I do not need.
