Seeking Closure On A Guild

For the past few months I’ve been receiving email from my old guild’s forum host about the site’s inactivity. I’ve been posting a line or two over there just to keep it alive. I was the one who set it up in the first place and I didn’t want it to go.

The other day I got another email about it and it made me think about the way things are right now. The forum is for the guild Scarlet Vengeance in Quel’dorei. Like Dorothy, we’re not in Quel’dorei anymore, we’re in Area 52. The plan to form Scarlet Vengeance over there didn’t push through either, thanks to circumstances beyond my control. Furthermore, I’m not even a member of the guild where most of SV’s members are in. I jumped ship almost a month ago because of all the PUGging we were doing and the lack of progression.

I started a poll on the site asking about whether I should close it or not. No one has responded so far, a definite indication that no one goes there anymore. Still, I’m surprised that I’m having a hard time letting go.
