Well, it was fun while it lasted. Apparently, Independence War 2 has two bugs that will prevent the game from progressing. I was able to find a workaround for the first one. Didn’t have any luck on the second. I have uninstalled the game as a result and went back to Etrian Odyssey IV. I’m a little bummed about it but I’ve become accustomed to uninstalling it due to my misguided attempts to mod it. The game would become unplayable every time my mod failed and fixing it required reinstallation. Anyway, that’s done. Next game, please.
